Born into a family specialized in silk, Christian Alart grew up surrounded by fabrics and colors, developing from an early age a refined sense of material and detail.
After experience in international textile trade, he felt compelled to create a company both creative and meaningful.

In 1990, he founded PILATEX  a high-end workshop built on exceptional craftsmanship and a profoundly human vision of work.

His ambition: to create with purpose and quality, far from purely industrial logics.
Captivated by the unique talent of Malagasy artisans, he established PILATEX’s production heart in Madagascar a choice guided by both intuition and conviction  transforming the island into a recognized hub of textile excellence.

Step by step, PILATEX became a trusted partner to the most demanding luxury brands.Today, the company develops beautiful products that highlight Excellence while contributing to impactful social initiatives.

Alart remains convinced that bridges must be built between European know-how and Malagasy expertise  in a spirit of exchange and mutual enrichment.
